Privacy Policy
MileFree is a mileage-tracking app for iPhone. This policy describes how the current MileFree build handles location, trip, odometer, settings, and related app data.
Location and Motion data
When you enable automatic trip recording, MileFree may request Location Services, Always location access, Precise Location, Motion & Fitness, and Background App Refresh. These permissions are used to detect driving, record trip routes, calculate distance, and allow automatic recording while the app is not in the foreground.
Trip records
MileFree may store route points, distance, start and end time, trip duration, and your Business or Personal classification. The app also stores settings used for automatic detection, commute handling, notifications, and work schedules.
Odometer information
If you use odometer tracking, MileFree can store odometer readings and related history. The iPhone version can process an odometer photo to recognize a numeric reading when you choose that feature.
Storage
The current MileFree build stores its core trip, odometer, and preference data locally on your device. The current build does not include user account sign-in or cloud synchronization.
Reports and sharing
When you choose Export PDF, MileFree generates a mileage report on your device and opens the iOS sharing flow. You decide where that report is sent or saved.
Platform and third-party services
MileFree relies on iOS platform services and software libraries for mapping, background location, local storage, PDF generation, and related app functionality. Those platform or library providers may process technical information as required to provide their services.
Sale of personal information
MileFree does not sell personal information.
Your controls
You can change iOS permissions at any time in Settings. Disabling location, Motion & Fitness, or Background App Refresh can reduce or disable automatic trip recording. Removing the app removes locally stored app data subject to normal iOS device and backup behavior.
Accounts and deletion
The current build does not create a MileFree user account. If account or cloud features are added in a future release, this policy and the app's deletion controls will be updated before that version is submitted.
Children
MileFree is a driving and mileage utility and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
This policy may be updated when MileFree changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
